On the Bighorn River FEB. 7th 2013

Posted on

It was nice to finally be out on the Bighorn River with my wife and spend a little quality time away from work. It was very troubling though to see so many dead fish on the bottom of the River because of the Fungus after the Brown Spawn. In theory this will make room for healthier, bigger fish in years to come, which is good, but still disheartening.

Fishing was a little slower in the morning until around 10 a.m., then fished well until around 1p.m. The fish were mainly on LBF’s, Baetis Nymphs and Sowbugs. Olive and White Streamers did pretty good also. Didn’t see any real action on top. All in all it was a relaxing day on the water with family and friends and I hope to get out again soon.
