One of my friends just got off a week on the Smith River. Guess what he forgot? His big mayfly  box. Now guess what the fish were crushing every afternoon? Yup. The one box you never leave home without. Drakes, PMDs, Baetis, Hex, Duns – even the ol’ Adams hatch. Don’t get caught on the bank trying to tie a size 12 brown drake on an old hopper hook with beard and eyebrow hair while you cry in your whiskey as your friends slay the trout on the opposite bank. ALWAYS be well stocked on mayflies.
