Terrestrials

The banks are humming with the siren song of the hopper. The clay banks are spitting ants faster than you spit out that beer you didn’t realize your buddy dumped his chaw in. Or maybe nothing else is working. I caught my biggest trout on a dry fly to date this year on a beetle when I hadn’t seen a single beetle on the water all week. Whatever the situation – spring, summer or fall – hoppers, ants and beetles are on the menu.
